The DD8 Music youth group has been busy fund-raising recently.
On Saturday, October 26, they hosted a charity band night in Kirrie’s Northmuir Hall.
The event was a great success and £145 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Care.
At the weekend just past the youngsters held a 24-hour Guitar Hero Marathon in the DD8 Music studio to raise money for Lucy Wright.
Between 6 p.m. on Friday, November 8 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 9 they played the game non-stop and raised a fantastic £500 for Lucy’s cancer treatment.
Meanwhile, DD8 Music will be holding their annual general meeting on Wednesday, November 27, at 8 p.m. in their studio at 29 Bellies Brae in Kirriemuir.
The annual accounts will be available to view and a new committee will be elected.
New members are always welcome to join as volunteers in the group’s community and youth work.
DD8 Music runs a community recording studio in Kirriemuir and also runs the annual Bonfest and Live in the Den festivals.
