COMMUNITY councillor Lorna Bruce has been honoured for her dedication to the role for more than 25 years.

Lorna became a member of the Fern, Oathlaw and Tannadice community association in 1985 and she remained a part of the group until the 1990s.

In 1991 she was co-opted as a member for Tannadice to Kirriemuir Landward East Community Council and there she has been treasurer for the past 11 years.

Lorna was presented with the award by Provost Ruth Leslie Melville at the bi-annual meeting of Angus community councils in Angus House, Forfar last week. (Picture by photosonlocation.co.uk).
