A Kirriemuir woman has claimed that the town is turning into “the village of the damned” due to the actions of some youngsters.
The town centre resident, who asked not to be named, said her life and that of her neighbours is being made a misery by antisocial behaviour.
She said that incidents have included verbal abuse, rubbish thrown through open windows, her door being kicked and plants torn up and scattered, and added that no action appears to have been taken by the police despite repeated reports.
She said: “For around 18 months I’ve been harassed and pestered. Kids are running riot, making everyone’s lives a misery and people are afraid to come out of their houses in this town. I’m sick to death of it.
“It can be children as young as five but right up to 15 and 16-year-olds and no-one seems to be able to do anything about it.”
Hamish Gray, temporary Inspector with Tayside Divison’s Safer Communities Team, said officers have been aware of problems and taken action.
He also urged anyone experiencing antisocial behaviour to get in touch.
