Members of the Brownies up and down the country are celebrating the movement’s 100th birthday this year.
As part of the celebrations Blairgowrie brownies had a sleepover at Frostys Funhouse. It’s the first time Frostys has ever had a sleepover so everyone concerned was very excited about it.
Owner Gillian Rooney and Jenni Robertson, the Blairgowrie Brownie leader, took a few weeks to organise the event which involved all the necessary safety tests and risk assessments. The 32 girls all started off the fun with on the ice themed play frame.
This was followed with an awards ceremony, a movie with popcorn and snack and then hot chocolate before camping up for the night. The girls and leaders were all given breakfast before heading home in the morning.
Gillian said: “We all had a fantastic night with one little girl saying it was the best day of her life which made my day it was so nice to see the girls having such fun. Since the sleepover we have already taken bookings for other Brownie groups and Beavers.”
Anyone interested in having a sleepover should please contact Frostys Funhouse on 01307 469097.
