A kind-hearted local youngster has continued his charity crusade by raising funds for the the Ninewells Cancer Campaign.
Blair Henderson (10) from Letham held the latest of his fund-raising events towards the end of last year to lend a hand with the Ninewells campaign, which aims to raise £10,000
On Saturday, December 28, Blair held a charity car wash at his dad’s garage, Central Motors, in his home town of Letham.
He distributed posters all round the area to raise awareness of the event and his entrepreneurial efforts certainly paid off as he managed to raise an excellent £165 in just two hours.
Blair is becoming well-known in the local area for his fund-raising adventures and he had a busy 2013.
Last year he led an initiative raising money for his local church.
The cash he raised has helped ‘Wild Angus’ - a group of eight walking pals all touched by cancer - reach a total of £7,282.62 so far.
Fund-raising initiatives have also included ‘extreme dining’ events, a quiz and Jazz night, various yard sales, lunches and stalls selling Nepalese handcrafts.
The group has also pledged to walk 500 miles over the year. Now seven months into the challenge its members have already covered 335 miles.
