Local artist Frances Law has just launched a new website which offers an exciting programme of art workshops for this coming Spring and Summer.

Frances, whose classes and workshops are always well received, has been teaching throughout the Tayside area for over 15 years. Living and working at her home and studio at the foot of Glenisla, she has exhibited her work locally and internationally since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1980.

She said: “Sharing my practical knowledge as an artist has been something that I have always enjoyed doing. It can be very isolating working alone in my studio, but I have found that being able to offer quality workshops and to encourage and enable others to tap into their creativity has enriched my own work and provided a healthy balance for my practice.”

Starting on Monday, March 3, Frances will be teaching an evening drawing class at St. Stephen’s Church Hall in Blairgowrie from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. This six-week course will demystify the problems of perspective, ellipses, and the construction of portraits.
