Young people to take part in Angus Raccolta
YOUNG people from all parts of Angus are set to take part in the Angus Raccolta- the Italian word for ‘gathering’- in Forfar on Monday.
The event will take place at Forfar Academy and will comprise workshops delivered by Tayside Council for Alcohol, Tayside Fire Service, Penumbra and Rebound, to name a few.
The workshops will be followed by pizza making, African drumming, pampering, football and arts and crafts. There will also be an opportunity to join Angus Youth Action groups such as those dealing with health and equalities.
There will be a celebration of success event where young people who have contributed to their community or school will be recognised for their achievements. The event is free and is open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 25 and will run from 4.30 until 8.15 p.m. A buffet tea is provided as well as free transport from local secondary schools to and from the event.
