Wintry weather

THE WINTRY weather conditions that are affecting Angus today are causing some travel disruption with the Met Office issuing an amber ‘be prepared’ weather warning for the area.

Tayside Police are asking the public, and drivers in particular, to take the utmost care in what may be challenging driving conditions and ensure that their vehicles are fully roadworthy before setting out on any journey.

Due to the snow and access issues, the following schools in Angus are closed all day; Airlie Primary School, Carmyllie Primary School, Cortachy Primary School, Isla Primary School, Lethnot Primary School, Northmuir Primary School, Southmuir Primary School and Tarfside Primary School.

For further information and to keep up to date with how the weather is affecting schools you can visit www.angus.gov.uk.
