THE annual Forfar Rotary Club primary schools’ quiz was last week staged for the 12th year in succession, with Graeme Waggot of Radio Tay acting as quizmaster.

After completing rounds of questions on a range of subjects there was finally a winning team declared.

Winners for the past two years, Langlands Primary School, was this time beaten by Whitehills Primary School, assisted by mascot “Jeffrey the Bear”. Whitehills was represented by Luke Millar, Jack Green, Rhys Brennan and Lewis Brown.

Strathmore contestants were Mairi Allan, Rhianne Docherty, Linzi Farquhar and Cali Roberts, while representing Langlands were Gregor Hill, Conor Sim, Dawn Stewart and Lewis Yule.

The Whitehills winning team all received an Amazon voucher and, along with all the entrants, were given a copy of the Novel “The Dead Can’t Hurt us “, a book written by Convenor Allan Cairns’ wife Pam Cairns. Forfar Rotary Club president Mike Cumming, in conclusion, thanked everyone for their support, including Graeme Waggot, assisting Rotarians and the schools for their co-operation in making the event worthwhile.
