Updating tourist info

MEMBERS of Kirriemuir Community Council have been informed of plans to update the tourist information points in the Bellie’s Brae and Reform Street car parks.

Graeme Hodge, a member of the local community planning team at Angus Council, attended the January meeting to explain what is being proposed.

He stated that the present information boards were becoming outdated and that the local authority wanted to work with the community to gather the relevant information to create a new template highlighting nine of the top visitor attractions in the area.

Community Council chairman Roland Proctor suggested that the Kirriemuir Heritage Truist would perhaps be the right organisation to lead on this.
