Time for yearly ‘Big Sing’ event

It IS time to put this year’s Forfar’s Big Sing date in your diary.

St Margaret’s Parish Church will be the location for the big event on Sunday, December 16, at 7 p.m.

Once again, attendees will try to raise the roof as they sing Christmas carols and raise a lot of money for Christian Aid.

This year, under the Forfar Action of Churches together, umbrella they are trying to get folks to come together whether church attenders or not, young and old alike, to help them help the poorest people in the world.

The organisers realise that it has been a tough year for everyone and money is tight but say that whatever you can spare is fine.

So when you’re fed up Christmas shopping, tying up the presents and writing all the cards, go along for an hour and start to feel what Christmas is really all about.

Your rewards for singing are a cup of coffee or tea, mince pies and shortbread and the knowledge that you have helped to make someone who has nothing’s future a bit brighter.
