SPONSORSHIP SECURED FOR EVENING BOAT LEAGUE
LINTRATHEN Angling Club's Friday evening boat league has received a boost after Kirriemuir firm Kar-Tech agreed to sponsor the competition.
Some 19 anglers take part in the tournament, with points awarded at the end of the month for the biggest catch. The league itself, now called the Kar-Tech Friday Evening Boat League, started in May and runs until August. Entries for next year's competition will be accepted throughout April and May.
Top prize for winning the league is a 50 voucher for Angus Angling, with vouchers of 30 and 20 to the second and third placed entrants.
Kar-Tech's Kevin Robertson said: "I was delighted to sponsor the league and help support this community event."
The league's Wullie Milligan said: "The Lintrathen Angling Club is very grateful for Kevin's generous sponsorship.
"We're half-way through the season so far, but we're having a good first year and maybe we'll be able to expand on it next year."
