Polished performance from Guys & Dolls
Principle Characters in Guys and Dolls, Claire Butchart as Sarah Brown and Scott McINtosh as Sky Masterson
The singing and dancing talents of Forfar and Kirriemuir’s Rising Youngstars are wowing audiences at Kirriemur Town Hall this week.
Their production of Guys & Dolls is a slick show featuring brilliant singing, choreography and characterisations which belies their years.
Months of rehearsals for over 50 young performers have certainly paid off as this show is fast-flowing and highly polished.
There are numerous outstanding performances – Imogen Walker as the cheeky Benny Southstreet; Scott McIntosh and Claire Butchart as Sky Masterton and Sarah Brown respectively, and Amy Baigrie as Miss Adelaide – truly brilliant.
However, it is unfair to single out only a few as every cast member contributes to a spectacular show.
The production team of Fiona Retalic as producer/assistant director, Charlotte Turner-Kersley as director/choreographer/assistant producer and musical director Colin Grant brought out the very best of these youngsters.
They were word perfect, their singing was superb, their dancing sublime and their enthusiasm infectious.
If you haven’t got your tickets, then better be quick.
The show runs tonight and tomorrow at 7.30 pm. Tickets from Garlands in Forfar (01307 462978) and David Sim, Kirriemuir. (01575 575757).
