YOUTH Annoyance Calls are being robustly dealt with by Police officers in Kirriemuir.

On Friday, following a complaint of Youth Annoyance in the Croft Terrace/Crofthead area of town, one youth was traced and cautioned and charged with Breach of the Peace.

Police in Kirriemuir are investigating the following incidents which have occurred during the last week.

Theft of mirrors from two motor cars in Mid Road, Kirriemuir between 9 p.m. February 22 and 9 a.m. on February 23. Theft by shoplifting in the Spar, Lindsay Street (detected).

Theft of mobile telephone in Prosen Road between 9.15 p.m. on February 16 and 6 p.m. on February 17.

In Forfar, Police are investigating the break in to a storage box containing children’s toys at the Strathmore Children’s Home, Strathmore Avenue, Forfar. This incident occurred between 6 p.m. hours on Sunday, February 17 and 9 a.m. on Monday, February 18.

Police are also investigating the vandalism to the windscreen of a vehicle in Katarine Street, Forfar between 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 17 and 11 a.m. on Monday, February 18.

Anyone who has seen any person or vehicles in the area near to the times stated or has any other relevant information with regards to the above incidents should contact Tayside Police on 101, any Police Officer or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. 101 is the new non-emergency number which replaces the vast range of existing police force non-emergency numbers, which will gradually be phased out. It was introduced across Scotland on February 21 and is a new way to contact the police, seek advice, speak to a local officer or to report a crime that does not need an emergency response.
