POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES AFTER FORFAR THEFT

TAYSIDE Police are keen to trace witnesses to a theft which occurred in Forfar at about 10.15 pm last night (Thursday).

Around this time an elderly male was sitting in a wine coloured Rover Metro motor car, parked in St James Road, near to the convenience store, when a female approached the car and opened the passenger door and stole a wallet before running off in the direction of Viewmount.

The female was described as being around 5ft 3 inches in tall, slim build, aged around 16 to 18 years and was wearing a fawn coloured long sleeved hooded jacket with similar light coloured trousers.

She was wearing the hood up on her jacket at the time she entered the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who can identify the female responsible, should contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222 or speak to any police officer.
