FORFAR is once again coming to terms with the news of the closure of another town centre store.
I don't really use it as I am not able to drink. However, it is handy for things like milk as there are no other shops selling things like that in the town centre after Somerfield closes at night.
Derek Melville, Forfar.
I'm from Brechin and our Victoria Wine has been saved. However, it is a busy shop. Any time you walk past there are people in it. It's a shame when a town centre stores close as it can take some time to get them filled.
Vera Galt, Brechin.
I think it will be. It is in a prominent place. As far as I'm concerned, I don't know where I will go to do the lottery once that store is closed.
Norma Mitchell, Forfar.
I don't think so, I don't use the shop but in general I think that shops closing in any town is a bit worrying. I don't think the council does a lot to help as Castle Street is not equipped to cope with two way traffic. It is not welcoming to shoppers and is pedestrian unfriendly. Why not pedestrianise the area between the two car parks and make it more attractive for shops and shoppers to come to Forfar?
Raymond Campbell, Forfar.
