The BI-ANNUAL East and Old Parish Church Burns Supper organised by the ‘Friends’ was held on Saturday evening in the hall with around 90 attending.
Our picture shows the top table of (from left) Jim Nicol who toasted The Lassies; Billy Sweetin who designed the tickets and programmes; Rev. Barbara Ann Sweetin who said the Selkirk Grace; Bob Kidd, master of ceremonies and Immortal Memory; Mary Daun who Replied to The Lassies and Doug Robertson who Addressed the Haggis.
Entertainment was by Isobel Findlay, Elizabeth McLeod and Bruce Simpson, with Piper Willie White and Henchman Bob Todd, Flowers by Marlene Sim and catering by Friends’ Ladies with Neil Cameron supplying the haggis.
A good evening was had by all in spite of the foul weather outside.
