FORFAR RESIDENTS EVACUATED FOLLOWING GAS LEAK

TAYSIDE Police in Forfar were called to a house in Suttieside Road after a woman driving her Vauxhall Corsa collided with a house and ruptured a gas pipe.

The incident happened at around 11.34am on Thursday (today).

An ambulance attended and, whilst the woman was not injured, she was treated for shock.

A small number of nearby residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure whilst Transco engineers worked at the scene.

They were allowed back into their homes shortly before 1pm.
