DOUBLE GRADUATION FOR KIRRIE BROTHER AND SISTER

A Kirriemuir brother and sister recently graduated, having attended universities at opposite ends of the country.

Gemma Cruickshanks graduated with first class honours in archaeology (M.A.) at Edinburgh University.

She is currently working at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, and is intending to go on and do a Ph.D.

Kenneth Cruickshanks graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in sports development at Portsmouth University.

He has, for the last four years, been working part-time at Fort Purbrook, near Portsmouth, where he has been teaching rock-climbing and other activities to youngsters. He has just taken up a permanent position as activities manager.

The son and daughter of Ian and Margaret Cruickshanks, Cardean, Shielhill Road, Northmuir, Kirriemuir, Kenneth and Gemma were both educated at Northmuir Primary School and Webster's High School.

Kenneth also did a year at Angus College in Arbroath, where he gained certificates for sports coaching.
