BREAKING: Crime appeals
Police in Forfar are appealing for witnesses following the theft of various items of metal from outbuildings at Craichie Mill, Craichie by Forfar sometime between 10.30 a.m. on Sunday, January 6 and 7.15 a.m. on Monday, January 7.
Thieves made off with two Peugeot diesel engines, four pairs of steel forklift forks, a front ‘digger’ hub, a quantity of heavy duty batteries and a metal tub containing smaller items of scrap metal.
In Kirriemuir, over £5,000 worth of aluminium pipes were stolen from a premises at Marywell Brae.
The pipes measuring between 3.5 metres and 5.5 metres were taken sometime between Friday, December 21, 2012 and Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
Elsewhere in Angus, officers are investigating the theft of 60 gallons of Kerosene stolen from a tank at a property near to Wellbank.
The theft occurred sometime between Sunday, December 23, 2012 and Monday, January 7, 2013.
