BELLES BOOST FOR ALZHEIMERS
THE proceeds of two fundraising events held by the Forget-me-not Belles were presented to Alzheimer Scotland last mid-week with much praise for the generosity of the Forfar public who supported the events superbly.
At a presentation in the Market Muir clubrooms of Forfar Farmington FC, dementia resource worker Pat Brodlie received a cheque for 6843.46 from the Belles.
They held a three-day charity shop in March followed by a two-week shop and both were very well supported. The Belles thanked the people who came into the shop to support them and also the many volunteers who helped them.
The group operates a weekly drop-in at the Market Muir on Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm, to which new members are welcome.
