ANGUS MAN BADLY HURT IN BALCONY PLUNGE

A 24-year-old Angus man is seriously ill in hospital after plunging from the balcony of the Caird Hall in Dundee during a gig on Friday evening.

A 24-year-old Angus man is seriously ill in hospital after plunging from the balcony of the Caird Hall in Dundee during a gig on Friday evening.

The incident occurred at around 10 pm, the man apparently leaping 20 feet from the balcony during a concert by the band The Prodigy.

Tayside Police officers and the Scottish Ambulance Service were quickly at the scene and the man was treated at the Caird Hall by paramedics before being taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee by ambulance.

He is currently undergoing treatment at Ninewells Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

Tayside Police are investigating the circumstances.
