Services of remembrance will be held in Kirriemuir, Cortachy and Glamis on Sunday, November 9 as the nation remembers those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflict.
In Kirriemuir a short act of remembrance will be held in the Square at 10.50 a.m. followed by a church service in the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church.
At 12.30 p.m. a wreath laying ceremony will be held at the War Memorial in the cemetery.
Chaplains from the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church, St Andrew’s and St Mary’s Episcopal Church take part in the service which will be attended by veterans organisations, the youth organisations of the town, Angus councillors, community councillors and community groups.
The event is organised by Jim Ritchie and Major Ronnie Proctor.
Wreath laying ceremonies will also take place at the Cortachy War Memorial at 10 a.m. and at the Glamis War Memorial at 11 a.m.
