This week, Zoolab, a company which provides hands on workshops for schools, visited the geography department at Forfar Academy.

S1 pupils at the Academy are currently studying the Amazon Rainforest, and the visit from Zoolab provided the opportunity for pupils to come face to face with the creatures who live there.

Pupils were able to learn about and handle creatures such as giant snails, cockroaches, millipedes, stick insects, and snakes. All pupils and staff attending the event agreed that the workshops were a brilliant experience as they allowed pupils an insight into the amazing world of tropical rainforests.
