For the second year running Kirriemuir and District Floral Art Club, along with floral art clubs all over the UK, took part in the ‘Lonely Bouquet’ to celebrate National Flower Arrangers’ Day on Friday.

The ‘Lonely Bouquet’ is a random act of kindness which involved members leaving a bouquet in a public place in Kirriemuir and Forfar to be picked up by an unsuspecting passerby.

The motivation behind this anonymous act is simply to bring a smile to someone’s face and last year thousands of bouquets were distributed across the UK.

If anyone is interested in finding out about Kirriemuir & District Floral Art Club, the last meeting of the session is Thursday, May 21 in Kirriemuir Old Parish Church Hall at 7.30 p.m. when the demonstrator will be Hetty Redwood from Linlithgow.

Admission will be free to any visitors who will be made very welcome.
