Boots staff from the Kirriemuir store recently held a week of fundraising fun as part of their partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Colleagues staged a dress-down day, held raffles and sold home baking, books and hand crafted cards which were all donated by loyal customers to help raise money.
Over £13,000 has been raised across the North and East of Scotland for the official charity partner with colleagues helping to go that extra mile. A Boots UK regional manager clocked up more than 175 miles in one day visiting all 92 stores to congratulate colleagues for their efforts.
Craig Thomson, Regional Manager, North and East Scotland Boots UK, said: “Macmillan do a tremendous amount of work supporting families affected by cancer and I was delighted with the level of support each of the stores offered to a week of fundraising.
“There is a lot of hard work taking place to raise money across the regions and I congratulate all colleagues from Kirriemuir for their efforts in helping to raise funds for Macmillan.”
Macmillan and Boots UK are also inviting people to enjoy the great outdoors and get active by taking part in Miles for Macmillan.
