President Ian Stewart welcomed 51 members to the morning meeting of Forfar Probus Club last Tuesday and introduced John Alexander who was to talk about ‘Accident Investigation’.

John was born in Peebles and served with the Police between 1964 and 1995 as an Advanced Driver, then an Advanced Instructor and as a qualified City and Guilds Police Vehicle Examiner.

He retired from Tayside Police as Inspector in Charge of Traffic Management.

During this long career he investigated and reported on accidents and their causes and aftermaths. His talk was interspersed with a series of slides and photographs showing the graphic consequences of accidents.

On his retirement from the Police force, John trained at Aberdeen University as an Accident Investigator and continued his investigative prowess as a consultant.

John also brought the best wishes of Blairgowrie Probus Club to Forfar Probus Club.

Club Member Ian Whitton gave the vote of thanks for an interesting and informative talk enjoyed by all.
