THE “summer” weather may have taken its toll on local gardens, but members of Forfar Horticultural Society are gearing up once again for their annual show.
This year’s event takes place on Friday and Saturday, August 26 and 27 in the Reid Hall, when the fruits of months of labour will be on display in the usual sections of plants, cut flowers, vegetables, floral art, children’s sections, baking, preserves and handicrafts.
Schedules for the show are still available from Forfar library or from Mary Craib on Forfar 465626.
The Society is also appealing for any men willing to volunteer to help put up staging on Wednesday, August 25 in the hall at 6.30 pm to come forward.
This will take about two hours and the committee would be very grateful for any help.
Anyone interested is asked to contact Les Craib on 465626 or W. Baird on 465320.
