Help for those who are living with arthritis

Are YOU living with arthritis?

The Angus Arthritis Forum invite you to go along to a free information evening which will be held in Health Education Room in Springfield Medical Centre in Arbroath on Wednesday, September 26, from 6.30 until 8.30pm.

The theme of the evening is energy conservation and Diane Bannerman from Energy Saving Scotland will be offering advice and practical tips on energy saving measures for the home.

NHS Tayside Occupational Therapist Elise Tainsh will also be giving a short introductory session on the Fatigue Management Programme which aims to help people who experience excessive tiredness or exhaustion, all or most of the time.

The session will provide practical ideas and suggestions to help people understand more about fatigue and its effect on their lives.

People who have fatigue have no energy and find it difficult to do simple, everyday things that are taken for granted by others.

Angus Community Health Partnership (CHP), in conjunction with the Arthritis Forum, has organised this informal evening and would encourage anyone living with arthritis, their families and friends to come along for the two-hour session.

The evening will round off with the opportunity to chat with others over a cup of tea.

If you would like more information about the evening, please contact Rhona Guild at Angus Community Health Partnership on 01307 474889.
