THE BOYS’ Brigade Hall in Queen Street has been transformed into a sorting office during the day as a band of volunteers sift through hundreds of Christmas cards.

Once again members of the 2nd Forfar Boys’ Brigade and the 6th Forfar Scout Group are delivering cards in the Forfar area, raising much needed funds for the organisations.

Post boxes have been distributed throughout the town, and the cost of posting a card is 20 pence.

Deliveries are being made prior to Christmas in Forfar, Lunanhead, Padanaram and Kingsmuir.

Cards can be posted in the boxes at the following locations:-

Thornton Park Shop, Taranty Road, Shop, Dundee Road Co-op, ASDA, Haqs, Richardsons Newsagents, Academy Street Co-op, Easterbank Shop, Hampton’s newsagents, R. S. McColl, Watt the Butcher, Mclaren’s bakers, Brechin Road Shop, Tesco, Mr Ali’s newsagents, Poundstretcher, Forfar Convenience Store (Glenogil Terrace), Canmore Bowling Club, Forfar Indoor Bowling Centre, Lowson Memorial Church, St Margaret’s Church, the East and Old Church, Brander Ha’, Andrew Smyth Gardens and Springfield.

Please ensure that a full name and address is included on the envelope to ensure the cards can be delivered to the correct address.

The boxes are emptied regularly but the final date for posting is Thursday, December 13 (tomorrow).
