Do you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to volunteer with a mums and babies group in Forfar?
The Healthy Start Café in Forfar meets every Monday (during school term time) between 11.30am and 1.30pm at the Guide Hall in the town.
The café, which is part of Angus Community Health Partnership’s Healthy Happy Communities Project, provides a comfortable, relaxed and informal environment and is open to pregnant women and new mums. All new mums are welcome to come along.
Healthy Happy Communities Project Worker Denise Black said: “The café is proving very popular and is a great way for new mums to meet other local mums. Volunteers are so important to help with the running of the group.
“We are looking for more volunteers, no experience is necessary, who would be willing to give a couple of hours of their time to help with some of the general duties such as washing up dishes, setting up and tidying up as well as helping with mums and babies when appropriate.”
