ANGUS Council’s environmental health division has organised a series of free seminars to give local employers information on preventing the spread of the deadly Legionella bacteria.
There are places available at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 21, and on Wednesday, October 5, at 10 am and 2 pm.
All the seminars take place at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.
The council’s environmental health spokesman Councillor David May, urged local firms to take up the offer of a free place at one of the seminars.
“All employers will at some stage in their work activities need to use water,” said Councillor May.
“I would urge local businesses to take up a place at the seminars, in order to improve awareness about the law and how to control the risk from Legionella bacteria - a serious condition which can have fatal consequences.”
