Angus residents living with long term health conditions are invited to take part in a free online course to help them adjust to living well with long term conditions.
NHS Tayside is the only Scottish health authority to commission places on the Online Self-Management Programme, an internet accessed self-management course for over 18s who are living with any long term condition.
The free course consists of six two-hour sessions, with users logging on at times that suit them over a six-week period. The course can be accessed anywhere there is internet access with a user name and secure email address provided at registration. Only basic computer skills are required.
It is based on the Chronic Disease Self-Management Programme developed at Stanford University, California and aims to give participants the tools, techniques and confidence to better manage their condition on a daily basis.
To book a place or find out more, contact Rhona Guild or Janice Reid at Angus Community Health Partnership on 01307 474889 or email email@example.com Information of other self-management courses can be obtained by registering your name and address by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
