NHS Tayside’s annual review, chaired by health secretary Alex Neil, will take place in Ninewells Hospital today (Wednesday).
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the hospital’s Ian Low Centre, starting at 1.30pm.
Sandy Watson, NHS Tayside chairman, will present the health authority’s performance over the past year and Mr Neil will give the Scottish Government’s response. This will be followed by a question and answer session.
Mr Watson said: “Our annual review gives members of the public, patients, their families and carers a chance to see how we are doing and ask questions about the services we provide. It is only by getting that feedback and listening to comments that we can deliver the right services for our communities.”
The public will also have the chance to hear about NHS Tayside’s ‘Steps to Better Healthcare’ programme which aims to improve health, patient experience and efficiency as well as make improvements for patients and their families.
