Forfar Rotary Club has stepped in to help create a stunning path at the entrance to the Forfar Open Garden Scheme in the town.
They have created a beautiful carpet of purple in Lochside Road by donating and helping to plant 5000 crocus corns.
This will become even more pronounced as they naturalise and spread in years to come.
The colour purple was chosen as the crocus corms are part of an Rotary awareness programme to promote the Purple Pinkie scheme to the world in the quest to eradicate polio.
When children receive their vaccination they have purple dye applied to their pinkie so that no child is missed in the remote parts of the world where polio is still a threat. The aim is to make the world a polio free environment.
