A national charity is aiming to support local people with hearing loss with a special event in the run-up to the festive season.

As Christmas Forfar residents with hearing loss can find out more about support and equipment that can make it easier to join in the festive fun by attending charity Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s event at Glenloch Centre, Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre, Station Road, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday, November 24.

As well as letting people know about life-changing products, the charity will also be offering free hearing aid maintenance for NHS hearing aid wearers. Trained Hear to Help volunteers will also be on hand to change hearing aid tubes and batteries.

Michelle Donoghue, Hear to Help project co-ordinator, said: “Christmas can be a busy time and we want to support people with hearing loss in Forfar to enjoy the season like everyone else.

“Assistive equipment and a good working hearing aid can make everyday life much easier for people with hearing loss to enjoy the company of family and friends at this special time of year.”
