Kirriemuir Wargames Club is to run another open day on Sunday, September 25 from 10 am in the Guide Hall, Kirriemuir.

Members of other local organizations have been invited to come along to either spectate or join in and members of the public can come for the morning, an afternoon, all day or just drop in for a look.

The tables/games on offer include Warhammer 40K, Battlestar Galactica, Seven Years War French versus Prussians, Heroscape, Dr. Who and the Daleks, Sands of War, the Battle for Ai Jaber 1991, a Hail Caesar Ancients game and a Force on Force game with two rival militia forces competing for territory in an African state in the 1980s.

All of the games are able to accommodate complete beginners with no previous experience and visitors do not require any equipment or materials. Everything is provided by the club members who will be happy to demonstrate any aspect of the games.

Preparations for TARGE 2011, Kirriemuir Wargames Club’s annual public exhibition, are well in hand with all trader and club tables allocated.

Websters High School has been very flexible in accommodating the expanding TARGE with discussions underway to include a national competition for 2012.

For further information about any aspect of the Kirriemuir Wargames Club or TARGE 2011, telephone 01575-574128 any evening.
