The funeral of a Montrose woman whose body was discovered during a police search in October will take place tomorrow.

Kim MacKenzie’s (37) remains were found by officers during a week-long search in the town in October.

Ms MacKenzie is described as the “beloved daughter of Terence and Helen”.

The funeral will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at Parkgrove Crematorium in Friockheim at 10.30am.

All relatives and family are invited to the service.

Family flowers only have been requested with donations going towards the RSPCA.

A man and woman who stand accused of Ms McKenzie’s murder are awaiting another court date.

Steven Jackson (39), of Market Street, Montrose, and Michelle Higgins (28), of Lower Craigo Street, made no plea when they last appeared in private at Forfar Sheriff Court.

Several areas Montrose were cordoned off during the search after the body was found on November 4.
