Freemasons silver

A pair of Edwardian silver Freemasons presentation candelabra from the Forfar area sold for £2,350 at a fine art auction in Shropshire recently.

The candelabra was presented to A. D. Anderson by the Freemasons of Forfarshire on May 4, 1904 in recognition of his long and valuable service as Provincial Grand Secretary.

It went under the hammer in a 403-lot auction of fine pictures, silver and jewellery at Halls in Shrewsbury.
