An appeal aimed at ensuring children across Tayside and North East Fife have a happy Christmas has been launched by the Tay FM and Cash for Kids Team.

Indeed the team members went round the region in an open top bus on Saturday, picking up toys.

Cash for Kids manager Lynda Curran said: “From now until Christmas we will be asking people to donate a new, unwrapped gift for a child aged up to 18 years.

“Asda is providing the main drop-off points for gifts at their stores in Forfar, Dundee and Perth, and Yodel will provide a collection and delivery service.

“Around £40,000 worth of toys and gifts were donated (last year) and we are hoping to help even more children this year”.

If anyone is unable to get to an Asda Store, the appeal has the support of other businesses who are accepting donations. Details can be found at tayfm.co.uk/christmasappeal
