Firefighters were called to Ladenford Farm in Forfar twice yesterday (Wednesday) to tackle two separate combine harvester fires.
The first fire was reported at 11.05am and spread to two fields, as well as causing damage to crops in the process.
Four appliances were sent to the farm and battled the blaze with three water pumps for more than 90 minutes before finally bringing it under control.
Then, last night, at 7.17pm, two appliances rushed back to the farm after another fire was reported.
Crews returned and it took them 30 minutes to put out the fire, which was caused by overheating hot spots in the machinery.
It is understood no one was hurt.
The farmer was given safety advice by the firefighters.
