Forfar company adapting to the changing face of engineering


Angus MP Mike Weir accompanied by North East Regional List MSP Nigel Don paid a recent visit to Forfar-based engineering firm Ross and Bonnyman.

Mr Weir and Mr Don discussed with chairman Alan Honig the current situation facing business in Angus and generally and were given a tour of the factory.

Commenting on the visit Mr Weir said: “Ross and Bonnyman are an innovative engineering firm who are constantly looking for new applications for their expertise.

“Their success in having a large export business even in these difficult times is a tribute to the reputation and quality of their products.”

“Angus has a long tradition of engineering and it is good to see that it is alive and well in Forfar.”

Mr Don added: “As someone who has a background in engineering I was delighted to see the investment in modern technology at Ross and Bonnyman. They are clearly a firm that are adapting to the changing face of engineering, whilst retaining an excellent reputation for the quality of their product.”
