Forfar Athletic Football Club has launched a fund-raising campaign to raise £3000 to buy physiotherapy equipment.

The club has set up a Crowd Funder site, and has also lined up a sponsored bike ride for the start of September.

Officials from the club and 20 fans will cycle 52 miles across all four of the Angus league football clubs on Sunday, September 4. This new equipment will go a long way to helping manage injuries, at the right time and place.

Backers on the Crowd Funder page can get a range of goodies, depending on how much they pledge. For example pledgers of £10 get an adult admission to a non-league cup match for the current season while a pledge of £100 earns a signed Forfar Athletic football club first team shirt and a big thank you from Baxter the Bridie.

Forfar chairman, Alistair Donald, said: “For years we have badly needed to upgrade our physio equipment but not been in a position to do so financially. For us Crowdfunding is the perfect way to raise funds whilst giving something back to the ‘loyal loons.’”
