Kirriemuir & District Gardening Association held its Summer Show on Saturday in the town’s Old Parish Church Hall where the crowds were welcomed by chairwoman Sheila Bruce.
The vegetable classes looked very healthy although the cut flowers entries were down, not surprising with the weather this summer.
Organisers also said it was good to see some new entrants including the Community Allotment Association. The judges this year were Jim Ewing from Forfar for flowers, plants and vegetables, Barbara Gray for handicrafts and Alison Ramsay for the baking and handicrafts classes.
The prizes were presented by Rev Linda Stevens and the vote of thanks was given by secretary Anne Pole.
