A country mansion near Forfar has received a top accolade from VisitScotland in recognition of the high standard of its luxury accomodation.
The tourist body awarded House of Turin five stars which it achieved after taking part in the national tourism organisation’s Quality Assurance Scheme, which recognises businesses that meet and exceed the high standards expected by visitors.
Owner Yvonne Corbett, after working overseas for 23 years, has put her international experience into The House of Turin, a spectacular 1920s house which has been fully restored to its natural beauty.
The exclusive use, 10-bedroom property with 20-acre policies offers a bespoke service for weddings, photo shoots or film locations.
Yvonne said: “I am absolutely delighted and honoured to receive five stars from VisitScotland. We have worked really hard with an attention to the small details and always strive to upgrade.
“I’m going to China to attend the China Golf Show in Beijing and with the five stars from VisitScotland, I’m hoping to inspire visitors to come and explore The House of Turin and all of the outdoor activities that Angus has to offer.”
Jim Clarkson, VisitScotland regional director, also offered his congratulations.
He said: “Not only is this a big achievement, it is also a testament of hard work and top quality. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, Angus is a fantastic place to visit and having a five star luxury mansion will hopefully encourage new visitors.”
