BUDDING photographers are invited to get snapping local scenes for the second Lowson Memorial Church calendar.

Following the success of their first calendar printed last year for 2011, and drawing on the lessons learned, the organisers are looking for entries for this year’s project which will raise funds for the Lowson Improvements Fundraising Effort (LIFE).

They are looking for photographs of the Forfar area showing any season or mood, or any local event - from the Angus Farmers Market, Highland Games, Forfar Gala Day to the Marafun etc.

Entries in landscape form should be on A4 (210 x 297 mm) photographic paper with photo location and name, address and telephone number of entrant on the back.

Entries (with envelope marked Calendar) can be given to Maureen Lennon, Mairi McGregor, Hazel McKenzie-Milne or Mary Wyllie, or sent to Lowson Memorial Parish Church, Jamieson Street, Forfar, DD8 2HY.

There are categories for adults and children aged 16 or under.

The closing date is Sunday, June 5, ready for the calendar to be printed by the summer.

Last year’s calendar proved popular with locals and visitor alike, with the calendars being sent to family and friends in this country and abroad.
