POLICE enquiries are continuing into the full set of circumstances which resulted in a 40-year-old Forfar man fighting for his life in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
Paul De Veres was rushed to hospital under police escort last Thursday morning after he was discovered unconscious at around 7.45 am behind a block of flats in Viewmount.
The ambulance crew administered medical treatment to the severely injured casualty, who was found lying in a communal garden.
Police officers cordoned off the area as enquiries into the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident began.
At the time of going to press on Tuesday (yesterday) a spokesman for Tayside Police intimated his condition had improved and there were no immediate concerns for his safety.
He said: “It is understood he is in a stable condition in hospital.
“Police enquiries into the full set of circumstances into the incident are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information to give us a call.”
Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and who may have information that could assist enquiries to contact them on 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
