Well done to the literature-loving pupils at Whitehills Primary School in Forfar who received an award on World Book Day.
The school’s P4S class were named runners-up for their World Book Day display for the school library.
They created a ‘world of stories’ in response to the question “which stories have made the pupils and teachers of your ‘school children of books’?”
This related to ‘A Child of Books’ by Oliver Jeffers and they used the book as a stimulus for the project.
The children also had to write about what they had produced and why.
A total of 283 schools and 76,000 children took part.
For their efforts P4S were rewarded with a copy of ‘A Child of Books’ and a framed limited edition print from the book.
