The public is being urged to nominate Angus’s brightest education stars for this year’s Scottish Education Awards.
Open to teaching professionals and local schools, the awards recognise those that go the extra mile and reward the hard work and innovation happening in the countr’s classrooms.
Angela Constance, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, said: “Teachers, and those who support education, are the lifeblood of our schools and communities and these awards help us to celebrate that. Schools across Scotland are working really hard and this is a great opportunity to make sure they are getting the recognition they deserve.”
There is a wide variety of award categories for teaching staff and educational supporters and entry is open to all publicly funded schools including secondary, primary, nursery and special schools.
Nominations can only be accepted online at www.scottisheducationawards.org.uk and the closing date for nominations is Monday, February 16. Winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in Glasgow next year.
This is an ideal opportunity to recognise the hard work of deserving schools and educational workers in Angus.
