A group of generous Forfar Academy pupils spent the run-up to Christmas fund-raising for the Angus Toy Appeal.
The pupils, from S4-S6 recently presented a selecton of gifts to Sheila Whitelaw from the appeal.
This annual charitable endeavour helps to make the Christmas season a bit more special for disadvantaged children from across Angus who may otherwise go without.
The pupils all take Early Education and Childcare classes at the school and they fund-raised with home baking and a ‘Guess how many sweets are in the jar’ competitiion, realising £95 which they took to Asda in Forfar to spend on gifts for the appeal. School staff also donated a collection of toys.
An annual campaign, the appeal is a small unregistered charity which takes referrals from agencies which work with the children throughout the year such as social work departments and health visitors.
